The Villa Mansi is in Tuscany just a few kilometres from Lucca and situated on green hills in the peace and quiet of the village of Monsagrati Alto. Not far away is an old stretch of the Via Francigena which wound its way from the nearby Apuan Alps and Viareggio and through Camaiore, taking pilgrims to Lucca and then on to Rome.
The present owners live in the 18th-century building and have restored the entire vast estate, including the farmhouse which is divided into four apartments, the old olive mill and a number of farmworkers' houses.
